For our first year anniversary, we decided to go to Chicago to visit friends. We stayed with Elena & Rodney in downtown Chicago. We only had 4 days to tour the city, but thankfully E & R took off of work to help us navigate the city.
Day 1: E & R picked us up from the airport. We went back to Moody Campus and played video games for much of the evening.
Day 2: Headed on the train to Wheaton to visit the infamous Aug Dawg; went to the Billy Graham museum, toured the city's new library; hooked up with Ann Lin & her niece and nephew at Millenium Park; went to some boardwalk where we rode the ferris wheel, saw Lake Michigan; ate yummy Chicago deep dish pizza w/ Ann & Berto; ate cheap gelato at some famous place
Day 3: went to the Field Museum to see "Sue", "Lucy", and tons of other exhibits; thanks Elena for the free passes; ate famous hot dogs/sandwiches; saw Wicked at night and ate at McDonalds afterwards
Day 4: hopped on bikes and toured Chicago including the Lincoln Park Zoo; went shopping and ate some famous popcorn
Thanks for making our 1st year anniversary so memorable! We'll see you soon in Dallas.

the popcorn is famous for its caramel and/or cheese flavor. supposedly the lines are always out the door.
i wish i could remember the name of the place. but i don't. =(
