A group of the teenage boys at our church (and their friends) get together every year to celebrate Mother's Day. You can check out what they did last year on this blog, but this year proved to be another great time for the mothers to be appreciated and honored. A mother remarked to me that next year will be especially special for her because her "baby" will be going off to college. How quickly these guys grow...when we first came here to Katy, they were only 9th and 10th graders.
They served a brunch of fresh fruit and homemade crepes. The boys prepared a slideshow for the moms that had pictures spanning from babyhood to now. Each boy took an opportunity to thank his mom publicly for something she had done for him. Ed wrote and sang a song to the moms based on the tune of Adam Sandler's Hannakuh Song.
Happy Mother's Day!
