We've Moved In!!!

We closed on the house a couple of weeks ago, but had to wait until the end of the month to move in. Ed says that I've gotten into "nesting mode" and I've got to admit that I do think a lot about the house! We are both not very good about decorations and details, but we did have someone paint our living area/dining area and kitchen. We also added an island. Other than that, we've been trying to do the basic homeowner responsibilities like watering the lawn and remembering to close the garage door.

Looking back, we see how God has chosen this house for us. The previous owners were very generous to us...they left us a refrigerator, cleaning materials, and sold us some of their furniture for a reasonable price. We also have been pleasantly surprised at the diversity of our neighborhood. We live on a street with Indians, Asians, African Americans, and Caucasians with a variety of ages!

Special thanks to the youth guys and Jen Chai for helping us move. Specials thanks goes to Dad and Gordo for moving all that furniture in Sugarland for us.

Another praise to share...we went on Craigslist to find a washer/dryer. Ed was in the middle of negotiating with a guy in Katy when the man asked if Ed worked for a church. Ed had given him his work number to call him back and he had heard WHCC's answering message. Ed said that he was a minister there. It turns out the Katy guy gave us the washer/dryer for FREE! He is heavily involved in the Methodist church and wouldn't take our money. AND we found out that he lived less than 5 minutes away from our new home. Easy delivery and pick-up!

Please continue to pray for us that we would be good stewards of what God has entrusted to us. We are very excited to start hosting different ministries and of course, start building those relationships in our new community. Thank you for all who prayed for us especially as we were house hunting!
