Road to Recovery

look at all those trash bags

What a difference two days make! We are in much better shape then when I wrote the previous entry.
  • On Monday, Ed called on the Caterpillar Men Crew (youth guys) to help us clean up. They brought their own work gloves and worked really hard picking up the fiberglass, sheet rock, and moving furniture. Thanks guys!
  • Electricity came on late yesterday. Yippee! I love light!
  • Around 7 p.m., our general contractor brought his crew to re-tarp the roof and cut holes in our ceilings to help ventilate the house. They answered our questions, reassured me that no mold had set in yet, and basically took care of the house. Praise God for PDH Construction!
  • Katy ISD closed for the entire week so 6 days of no school = happy Alicia
  • we visited The Fellowship at Cinco Ranch; they have opened the church from 2 - 7 p.m. to the public for food, movies, games, etc.; Ed saw one of his old DTS buddies that works for the church -- he said that 50-70 newcomers had already come by
Continued prayer requests:
  • we haven't gotten a hold of our adjustor yet
  • Alicia's car broke down (again) and will be towed tomorrow
  • people in Houston are still without power
  • we would be able to encourage our neighbors

Praying for you guys. Thank you for your testimony of faith during your trials. Hope you're taking care of yourself, don't get too stressed. Not good for the body - Alicia, I'm mainly talking to you. :)
