Faith was discharged from TX Children's Hospital on Monday because the doctors felt she was stabilized at 12. We had a follow up visit with the pediatrician on Wednesday and sadly, Faith's level rose to 16.5. So we are now doing straight formula to see if she has breastfeeding jaundice. I'm pumping out milk and freezing it for a rainy day.
The good news is that Faith has gained weight! She's currently 6 lbs, 4 ounces and is sporting a double (and sometimes triple) chin. Ed and I took her out for the first time today to run some errands. She happily slept through a Sam's Club trip. However, a lady stopped me and commented on "how cute the baby was..." Her next comment was actually a question, "Is it a boy or a girl?". I looked down at my daughter's pink hat and pink blanket and said, "Uh, she's a girl." Hmmm...
Faith is going to make her debut to the public either at KCCC's Easter service or the groundbreaking church picnic. We'll see how it goes...
