The return of school marks also the return of Friday night youth group! We had the Fall Kickoff Party starting at 7:30pm which raised the big question in our family: does Alicia stay at home with baby or does the baby go to youth group with us?

So we decided to see how she would do at the youth group. God was extremely good to us as Faith was uncharacteristically awake and NOT fussy during the night. We didn't get home until around 10:00 p.m. Alicia was very thankful that she didn't have to hold a crying baby all night and an extra bonus was that Faith went immediately down to bed after we got home. We're still not sure if Faith will go on a consistent basis -- but at least we got a better sense of what it would look like if she did come with us.

FOCUS (youth group name) was great! Lots of new faces including new sixth grade boys. A local Chinese restaurant donated some food for the festivities. They played the viking/jiggling jelly bean game along with a modified version of BANG. Each of the servant team members introduced their different committees that the youth could sign up for. Overall, it was an exhausting, wonderful time! Ed even commented how encouraged he was after the night!
