Maryland Trip

Happy Thanksgiving in Maryland!
on the pier with Dad
oysters
hanging out with auntie, uncle, & future cousin

For Thanksgiving, we headed up to see Mike & Lydia along with the rest of the Leung clan. We got to feast on crab, hang out at their new home, and enjoy a nice stay in the hotel.
waiting at IAH for first plane ride looking at the seagull
waiting her turn to eat
playing with her new gift in the hotel
playing with cousin Myla
sleeping on the plane
taking a bath in the hotel sink way past bedtime -- wired!

Faith started off the trip with her first flight. She fell asleep for about 30 minutes. When she got antsy, Alicia held her in the small area between the restrooms. Things we do to keep our child from crying.

Korean food

The hotel was another story. She would sleep in the hotel's pack n play and then promptly wake up every 2-3 hours. So she ended up sleeping in our bed for most of the nights.

On the return flight, we were blessed to have her sleep for 1.5 hours on Alicia. Then, Alicia held her for another hour inbetween the restrooms again. The flight attendant took pity on her and gave her a pack of m&ms for a snack. When the plane started to descend, the seatbelt sign went on signaling Alicia's return to her seat. Thus for about 10-15 minutes, Faith cried on and off. To her parents' chagrin...she was the only baby on the plane crying. But for a 3 hours flight -- we'll take it.

Highlights:
  • swimming in the hotel pool
  • eating fresh crab
  • eating Maryland's famous crabcakes
  • hanging out at Mike & Lydia's place
  • watching UT win
  • introducing Faith to cold weather
  • watching Myla wave to everyone
  • lots of family time

So glad she did well on the trip! It's ok, people expect babies to cry on planes. Murphy's Law.

Looks like you guys had fun. And all that seafood. yumm...

Congrats to Mike and Lydia too!
