Today Faith turned 21 months old. It's hard to believe that she'll be two years old. She's loving life these days...loves music/dancing, craves to be with people, and full of energy. We feel like she is dynamite until she goes down for her nap and then bedtime. This month was full of mini-tantrums for Faith as she tries to do things herself (feed herself w/ a fork or play w/ certain toys) and learns that she hasn't quite mastered it yet. She also learned alot of new phrases and became VERY attached to her blanket. Her molars finally came in which meant alot of drooling and putting things in her mouth.
At 21 months old...
- can take off her shoes and socks & put them away
- doesn't do the sippy cup anymore...drinks most of the time from a straw cup and recently learned how to drink from a regular cup!
- loves to drive in her play car, hop on her rocking horse, or push her new baby stroller around the house
- new words: Santa (can spot him anywhere...it's quite amazing), diaper, bus, water, juice, please, elephant, book, church, apple, Susan, Where's the baby?, etc. (basically she can say anything if you ask her to repeat the word)
- can sing along to a number of songs and do basic hand actions w/ them
- does a "babble" prayer and then ends it with "Amen"
- likes to comb Alicia's hair and try to put it in a ponytail
- favorite foods: frozen fruits, noodles, waffles, blueberries, rice crackers, carrots, Chinese food, cold water
- got 2 top molars and 2 bottom molars
- is using a real toothbrush now
- loves to run across the street and play with our two neighbors
- consistently gives people hugs and kisses upon request
- when we ask where the baby is...she lifts up Alicia's shirt and slaps her belly (hard)
- likes to draw on her magna doodle (thanks Auntie Trish and Auntie Kara!)
- wears size 5 shoe
- working on saying her numbers (1-10) and ABCs
