Kate spent her 2 month day trying to learn how to take the bottle. Starting at 7am, we went cold turkey. Very painful...Kate didn't know what hit her. But she was able to drink around 1-2 ounces when she got really thirsty throughout the day. Ed got her to drinks 2.5 ounces once. She even managed to have some wet diapers and two dirty diapers. It's a work in progress.
As for her development:
- we've been blessed with a sleeper...starting around 6 weeks, she started sleeping 6-7 hrs straight at night! hooray!
- loves to nurse on Mom and hates pacifiers & Tommee Tippee
- likes to sit upright
- strong neck muscles
- likes to be held and rocked to sleep
- Faith is getting much better w/ Kate and tries to be the "helper"; she's a pro at bringing diapers, blankets, pacifiers, and food to her little sister (she tried to stuff a Kix cereal in Kate's mouth the other day -- can you say SCARY???!!!??)
- appears to have an easy going temperament when all of her needs are met
- burping monster, spit up monster, likes to hiccup in her free time
- has long eyelashes, her hair is a piece of work (growing straight up in the back and looking like a bald man up front)
- no eczema or food allergies as of yet
- puts up with Dad and Mom's hectic schedules
- 10 lbs, 13 ounces according to the good doctor (40% in weight)
- we love you so much, Kate!
