Christmas with the Leungs was early. We enjoyed an early Christmas with Ed's family. Mom and Dad took us to Kim Son where we indulged in hot pot, sushi, and tons of other food. Mike and Lydia weren't able to come from Maryland, but we still managed to trade "secret santa" gifts anyways. Ed got a UT Longhorn pillow from Lydia and Alicia got a new sweater from Amy. Afterwards, we played Sequence in Sugarland. It was very relaxed! We didn't have our camera with us...thus no pictures to capture the good times.
After church on Sunday, we (Ed, Kara, and Alicia) headed up to Dallas. It rained the entire time, but we got in around 9pm safely. We ate alot, hung out with family, and met up with friends. Christmas changed alot this year for the Wong household because of the growth of the family. We weren't able to be all together until 3:00 p.m. Christmas Day and then it was crazy with nephews running around. However, mom and dad did a great job of hosting us. Great time with family.
After a turkey lunch with family, we headed back to HoustonThursday night and left early Friday to attend youth winter retreat at Camp Allen. Josh Lin was the speaker this year with the theme "Crave for Christ". He did a great job emphasizing that there is a huge gap between what we desire and what God desires. Alicia learned a new Chinese card game called "80 Points" and Ed got to play RISK with the youth. Highlights were getting to know more Katy youth and enjoying the outdoors. Some of the nephews got a hold of our digital camera and it's broken. Therefore, no pictures of winter retreat. =(
On a totally different topic, please pray for Alicia's parents. They are currently looking for a new position. Please pray that they would have wisdom & patience in their search. We would be grateful for your prayers! Thanks!
How was your Christmas? Let us know!
