14 Days Old

you got a problem?
getting some natural light to fight the jaundice
Daddy-Daughter Time
she sleeps on the car shade so the light can reflect back onto her skin

Well, Kate is still strapped her to lights but her jaundice level went down 4 points! Yeah! She weighed in at 8lbs, 1.5 ounces today at the pediatrician's office and didn't even cry when the pricked her heel and drew a vial of blood for her bili test. Tough girl.

So far Kate is a great eater....eating about every 3-4 hours and sleeper (sleeping up to 4 hours at night). She likes to kick off her blankets, have her hands around her face, and burp (seriously!). The phototherapy machine is constantly attached to her even when I nurse her. It reminds me of The Matrix. We're very thankful that we haven't had to go back to the hospital though. We'll take home therapy any day.

We're incredibly blessed to have Kate a part of our family. Can't imagine that I birthed her just 2 weeks ago...feels like she's been here
