22 Months Old

Only two more posts until Faith turns 2!!! Whew, then I'm retiring these mini updates. This month was full of energy, laughter, and lots of repetition (for the parents) as Faith became a big sister, celebrated Christmas, and got tons of new teeth! She continues to be a parrot -- repeating different phrases and words that she hears. Faith has taken to pushing her stroller around, trying to eat with her fork/spoon, begging to drink from her mom/dad's drinking cups, and bonding time with Pau Pau. I continue to be amazed at the rate of Faith's growth -- physically and intellectually. We've also seen her sin nature rear its ugly head ... but that's to be expected. Can't wait to see how this next month goes with Pau Pau leaving soon, Ed starting his college classes, me going back to work and taking my grad class, and Faith/Kate learning to adjust. The theme this month....Oh Help Us God!

• top and bottom molars are in
• likes to say "Hi Baby Kate!" and also loves to give her sister head-butts, high 5s, and kisses
• favorite phrases, "Okay", "Oh Gosh!", "Where are you?", "There it is!"
• learned how to say please, thank you, various church members names
• sleeping from 6:30 until around 8am
• no haircut yet!
• got ezcema around her eyes =(
• favorite foods: Nana's soups, cheerios, yogurt shakes, frozen blueberries, bagels, dumplings
• can sing and do all the motions when she attends storytime now
• loves to talk on the phone
• got her 1st train ride at the mall with Pau Pau and her cousins
• her favorite games: running around the house with her eyes closed, putting her blanket on on her head and walking around blind, looking for bugs around the house, reading books by herself, Ring Around the Rosies, going "shopping
• counting 1 to 10...except inconsistent w/ numbers 7 and 9
• working on ABCs
• favorite shape: oval -- can spot it anywhere and yells out "oval"
• Going to start memory verses this month...we'll let you know how it goes!
