We took our last baby preparation class after the shower on Wednesday. Who knew a nurse could talk about breastfeeding for over two and a half hours? But she did...we learned about different positions, scientific research, pumping milk, etc. It was actually very informative. We aren't sure if we'll be ready when the day comes to feed our daughter, but at least we tried!
YES, that is the "boob" pillow. Our nurse used it to demonstrate proper latching and to talk about milk production.
The other picture is a "football hold" breastfeeding position. We didn't know it existed...but the nurse said that it's just as effective as other traditional positions.

Never mastered the football hold, although, being an all-star IM football champion like yourself (and Ed, right?)...it may be the preferred position.
